Terms of Service

The agreement between your organisation and Zeroth Cloud: what we promise, what we ask of you, and how either side ends it.

The agreement

These terms apply when your organisation uses Zeroth Cloud. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence wherever the two conflict.

By using the service you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of your organisation.

What we provide

Continuous monitoring of the systems you enrol, detection of known threats and misconfigurations, automated remediation where you have authorised it, and notification where you have not.

What we do not provide is a guarantee that you will not be compromised. No security service can honestly offer that. We commit to the diligence described here and to telling you the truth about what we find.

What we need from you

  • Accurate information about the systems you want protected, kept current as they change.
  • A named contact who can make decisions when something needs a human.
  • Reasonable access for the agent to do its work, and prompt notice when you revoke it.
  • That you only enrol systems you are authorised to enrol.

Acceptable use

Do not use Zeroth Cloud to scan, probe or attack infrastructure you do not own or have written permission to test. Do not use it to conceal activity that is itself unlawful. Do not resell the service as your own without a written agreement.

We reserve the right to suspend an account that is being used this way, and we will explain why when we do.

Availability and support

  • Target availability of 99.9% monthly for the monitoring pipeline.
  • Planned maintenance announced at least five business days ahead.
  • Support response within one business day on all tiers; faster on tiers that say so.
  • Status and incident history published rather than kept internal.

Fees

Fees are those set out in your plan. We invoice in advance for the period. Prices may change at renewal with at least 30 days’ notice; they will not change mid-term.

If you are a civil society organisation for whom the price is the obstacle, say so before you walk away. We would rather have the conversation.

Intellectual property

We keep ownership of the service and everything in it. You keep ownership of your systems, your content and your data. Nothing here transfers rights in either direction beyond the licence needed to actually run the service.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You may terminate at the end of any billing period by telling us. We may terminate for material breach that is not fixed within 30 days of us raising it, or immediately for the acceptable-use conduct described above.

On termination you may export everything, and we delete your monitoring data within 30 days and confirm it.

Questions about these terms go to hello@zerothcloud.com. We answer within one business day, and we will tell you plainly if the answer is that we do not know yet.

Still have
questions?

If anything here is unclear or does not fit how your organisation works, tell us. We would rather rewrite a paragraph than have you guess.
